What is a Master's / postgraduate degree?
After completion of your undergraduate degree, you can further pursue your education with a postgraduate degree.
Why study a Master's / postgraduate degree?
- A postgraduate degree will give you an advantage over others in your career field and make you more appealing to employers.
- A postgraduate degree allows you to dive further into a research field, meet other professionals, and find opportunities for further research or careers.
- By studying a postgraduate degree, you are able to explore and further develop your interests, whether that’s through a taught or a research degree.
- A postgraduate degree provides you with a wide range of skills that are valuable almost anywhere. Completion of a degree proves that you have self-discipline, motivation, time management, and organizational skills.
What is the difference between a postgraduate taught and a postgraduate research degree?
A postgraduate taught degree may be similar to your undergraduate degree in that you will complete your studies through seminars, lectures, and workshops. A postgraduate research degree provides you with more freedom as there there will be no lectures or seminars. Instead, you will have access to other researchers in your field as you complete your own research.
