Coach Frings and Coach Karrenberg have playing and coaching experience that can guide students looking for a first class degree at the undergraduate or graduate level with a first class rugby development and opportunity.
Matt Frings graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in May 2016 and has been involved in youth athletic development for the last 5 years, both in the UK and the USA.
Matt is currently part of a Division 1 rugby coaching team and provides physical development and conditioning support on a consultancy basis with a number of student athletes in New Mexico and Texas. Matt has studied and competed across the world, including spells at New Mexico State University and at the University of Queensland, Australia.
Matt understands first hand the opportunities afforded by studying abroad and draws from his personal experience to offer counsel and guidance to prospective students as they seek their undergraduate or graduate degree in a University within the UDA portfolio.
Justin Karrenberg is from Miami, FL and is currently working on completing his Master of Arts in Education at New Mexico State University. Justin played college rugby at NMSU and has since played on several men's club team in the USA. Since playing at NMSU, Justin took on the role of Director of Rugby in 2016 and has been working to develop community programs in the area to develop pathways for prospective players through education.
Justin's approach to recruitment is driven by his desire to encourage student-athletes to focus on their education while pursuing the opportunity to play rugby.
